Christopher Westgate graduated from Michigan State University with honors and Thomas M. Cooley Law School.

Chris is a member of the Michigan Association for Justice Workers' Compensation Council. As the only representative from West Michigan on the Council he is responsible for helping strategize, plan and report on workers' compensation issues present in West Michigan. Through this position Chris informs other practitioners about changes in the law and assists in forming policy that tries protect the Workers' Disability Compensation Act and Michigan workers.

 

Chris devotes 100% of his practice to litigation. Chris has handled cases in nearly every Workers' Compensation Bureau in Michigan and multiple Circuit Courts throughout the State. Chris has taken approximately 1,000 medical depositions on a variety of complex medical conditions. Chris uses his knowledge of the law and medical conditions to achieve the best possible results for his clients. Throughout his practice Chris has cultivated an extensive list of medical professionals who can evaluate nearly any condition a client may face.

 

Outside of work Chris is married with two sons. He enjoys sports, music, books, traveling, the outdoors and the water. Chris was born and raised in Grand Rapids and followed his dream to practice law in his hometown. Chris is also a member of Blessed Sacrament Church in Northeast Grand Rapids.
